Well I can't find anything like it any more. With all the attention fuel economy has been getting lately, there's tons of driving tips out there and they all point to the fact that the more delicate you are with the gas pedal the higher your mpgs. It sounds like good common sense, but from what I'm getting in my car it would appear that a good 3/4-full application of the gas pedal off the line seems to yield better results.

What is the memory for the ToE computer, distance/time-wise? I've got a pretty solid MTE of 422 miles. I was wondering if I drive like a grandma how long it will take to get that number to 500? Is it a 10 tank average or a lifetime average?

And also, I never top-off my tank, does anyone know if this will help get that number to 500? :-P

Man I would kill to get the numbers you peeps are getting. My BEST in city tank was like 25 MPG(Yes I am Canadian and still use MPG!!!).

Let us say that I did not opt for a 5 spd manual because I wanted to go "easy" on it.

I drive hard as hell, but I would be curious to know how much money I am pissing away :)

I have only seen over 400 miles to empty once after a fill, and that was a couple weeks ago. I drive it like I stole it most of the time. Hammer down at a green light is too automatic reflex so I doubt I will ever see 500 miles. And yes, Canadian with Titanium using miles instead of km.

I got 506 on Saturday, after driving about 400 miles with a 39.4 mpg on the screen, I didn't think it would get into the 500+ area, but here it is. I ended the 609 mile trip with 40.5 mpg, with 1/2 tank left I have not gotten gas yet. I also got my Eco Champion trophy that day.

I let my brother drive my car last week. DTE after a fillup went from like 460 to 380.
