Is there enough room for a full half barrel to stand up in the back of this puppy?

Might try folding the seat bottom up & leaving the seat back in place. This way you can belt your loved one in.

Euro 50ltr

22"high, 16"dia, 130lbs.

I only want to lift it straight up, drive it home, and put it straight down. Having to lean forward is not a risk I can take, (no back seat transport) as I have 2 old wrestling injuries,(bulging discs) which act up at even the slightest bend of the spine.

It should fit no problem ... But there is a 6 in. drop from the bottom of the hatch door.

If you can find a piece of 1/2 plywood maybe a 2x4' piece and put something under it to lift it up to level with opening ... it might be easy to slide in and out.

I'm thinking you got an easy 23 high by 33 wide opening to work with and easy 43 deep with hatch closed and seats down ... or easy 32 deep with hatch up and seats back

let us know
how it goes.

wait this is starting to sound like a keg ... ... ... think the 1/2 in plywood will still apply seats up ... slide it in and a couple of nice blocks of foam to keep it in place.

Does anyone know if one were to remove their full size spare if the cargo would then become "flush" again?

I ask because I may need a flush for equipmentand wouldn't mind having the option if I needed to.

TIA

I'm pretty sure I heard Angels singing when I discovered the fold flat seats.

Maybe it's because I have a 2001 Focus but I wasn't surprised because pretty much all seats will fold flat...but again, when you have a dealer who doesn't know his own product...jusnotkewl.

If anyone could answer my question about the spare tire gap that would be great,
I will be visiting the dealer again but don't really want to go and start pullin out the full size spare. Then again, screw it. I'll do it anyway.

read the thread, I think somebody already posted (before you) that this would work but there's a spacer that would also have to be removed.

lol, you're right.
I did read the thread but don't know how I missed this:

Thx for the info!
