yes, it is the same part... the one is just chrome while the other is black. same goes for the painted ses mirror covers. They are all the same part, just different finishes and some of the painted ones and chrome ones dont have the little fins on them.

Oh cool. I figured once they're popped out they won't go back on properly as they would be damaged

no they just catch so if you "uncatch" each on properly you wont have any problems!
