Yes I will pay your gas and insurance.

I was driving cars in my 20s like 1971 Mach I, Z28 Camaro and in my 30s Datsun 280 Z, Nissan 300ZX and Subaru WRX STi.

I'll own a sports car when I am financially comfortable enough to afford a second car and my own garage to work on it. Right now, I need a relatively fun, inexpensive, reliable car to get me from A to B and haul my road bike or mountain bike around. Sure, I'll add a beefier sway bar, stiffer springs, and wider tires, but overall, a sports car has no place in my life at the moment.
My thinking exactly

Ha ha, Focus is my daily driver, do about 1000km a week. Fuel economy high on my list. As well as the cool technology. Not to mention the sporty looks and great ride.
Besides, for fun, I have a couple mid-sixties Pontiacs tucked away in the garage.
I've turned into one of those middle aged guys with the cool cars my friends and I made fun of when we were starting out. Where did the time go?

plus with a only 3 dealerships in my town it was a choice between a Chevy cruise, an Pontiac vibe GT or a focus.
In town? I didn't see that many dealerships when I went to Newfoundland this summer! From the East Coast to the West. Saw lots of Focus though. Was wondering where they were getting them. Saw more there than I ever did here and still today. I was telling myself that you guys got all the shipment before the rest of Canada :). I have to say that after my motorcycle trip in Newfoundland, I came back home and had to buy myself a car! I had been without four wheels for three years and was more than happy to be riding on two regardless of weather but after that trip, I didn't want to eide in rain, fog or cold anymore. I love my car :).

Edit, didn't go to Labrador though. Was looking for the ferry back home to the heat wave they were getting.

On topic, I'm 35 for now :). I like the selection available to vote :)
