a screwdriver!! really!! I use a interior trim panel removing tool set, there plastic and designed to NOT scratch the paint or brake stuff. you can get a set from Harbor Freight Tools for $5!

For the two lower retaining pins - they no longer exist on mine. I'm assuming they're there as a little insurance against the lower bumper cover catches accidentally releasing. Those catches aren't going anywhere so bye bye retaining pins.

I've never had to remove the lower retaining pins when taking off the grill. Only the lower catches. Do yours actually keep the grill in? Once I remove the top 4 pins and the lower two catches, my grill just pops out.

I haven't had to replace a bulb yet, but I'm on my second one to start leaking and taking in water. Last time it was the passenger side. Which I had Ford replace under warranty, this time it is the driver's side, which I will be doing myself and from what I have read it is pretty much an all-weekend job to open them up, scrape out the old "glue" apply new glue and clamp down for 12+ hours. heh.
