what is the Belkin puck? Is it the Belkin music receiver? How do you keep it charged? This prob could be a separate thread re: focus s audio setups

the only way to run a sub and amp is to run an SNI 35 pac adapter run off the rear channel in your b pillars...personal opinion I'm damn glad I didnt get the sync the harness would have cost twice as much

my budget also dictates that I do the wiring and demolition myself, but I have only done this with aftermarket stereos. Factory head units have no pre-amp outputs for the amp, however Google and some reading on Crutchfield provided to be very valuable. You can buy a Line-Out Converter that splices into front speaker wiring and converts the signal to RCA Outputs, and they can supply an amp to send output to all speakers, not just subs.

Basically problem solved, and I would love nothing more than to spend an afternoon installing everything and posting a nice 'how-to' for anyone here that wants to do the same for the non-MFT foci.

Now I just gotta figure out where to mount both, and where to fit a sub box...my god I can't believe I'm already planning to tear this thing apart!
Read this thread here when one person, myself and a few others installed subwoofer/amp with a LOC

Thanks for the link.

Guys, if possible, let's try to keep this discussion on topic (possibilities for an aftermarket stereo/HU). There are plenty of other threads discussing LOC's to retain the stock headunit. Thanks.

It's actually the way I was angled in the car. It's pretty close to the angle of the factory by with just a slight tilt upwards

Its totally worth the $$$ to have an aftermarket radio in my focus right now. So much better than factory and way nicer than mft and sync. Plus it's kind of nice to be one of the only ones in the country with an aftermarket double din in a 2012 focus

Memphis, How did you tap into the speed pulse and reverse wire for your wire harness?
