So to clarify; F57B-14B192-AA will be on the actual part. The bag it comes in, or the invoice you're billed on through the Ford dealer will be F5TZ-14N089-B. They're the same exact thing, both numbers cross right over to the other. If that makes sense. Hope that helps. And my ZX3 is having the same problem.

Awesome "how to." Saved me a LOT of time by having me avoid the task of tracing where the problem was in the first place. One thing I will add is that I did NOT have to remove any of the lower dash! I just pulled off the fuse box cover, used extensions on my socket wrench to remove the two fuse block bolts, and released the tabs to drop the fuse block down. I don't think I spent more than ten minutes, start to finish.
THANKS!

Thanks and pardon me if I missed it earlier. ** Edit ** Yes they are indeed identical. Try simply swapping the Front and Rear relay (assuming you don't have the single combined unit) before you go get a relay. Very easy and quick to test! Last edited by 5alarm; 11-15-2011 at 11:36 AM. Was very easy to access on my 03 Wagon through the access hole and 7mm with extension. Would've only taken 5-10 mins, but of course Mr. Murphy appeared. When I was replacing one of the 7mm bolts, I bobbled it and it disappeared into a never never land pocket on the back side of the lower dash plate next to the OBD plug. Thought about leaving it there, but I HATE RATTLES and figured I might be able to extract it with a magnet. 5 mins later and the magnet worked charms. THANK YOU everyone for all the info posts and updates. This site rules! |
