Avie, I wish I had those stock rims! I would do exactly what you did, except paint the little lines on each spoke red. Still looks great though!

the wheels look amazing like that, i cant wait to do my eaps lol....when you do the wheels are you just taping off the tire and then letting it dry and cutting at the tape line or just ripping it off immediately after you spray?

No need to tape off the tire...


IME, you can't really get a clean tapeline with plastidip UNLESS you remove the tape as soon as you shoot it, while it is still wet. REALLY wet. Otherwise the plastidip just peels from the tapeline out.

I used plastidip too this weekend, but in an unconventional way...

I took the rear chrome garnish off my Fuze because I want it black. First I shot a nice thick coat of plastidip, and then after allowing that to dry for the recommended 4 hours, I shot black metallic Rustoleum over that, and then clear over that. Results:

Now the theory is, when I want to paint it again, I can peel off the plastidip and the spray paint and be left with the chrome.

I used a few decks of cards lol it was what I could find at the dollar store just playing cards of some sort
