I LOVE my 2012 Ford Focus 100% whoo hoo thread!!

I'll definitely get in on this thread for sure!

5300 miles ago I got into a car that would change my daily outlook entirely. The joy of driving returned from an otherwise dreary 45 minute commute (one way). Now the highlight of my day IS the commute! And of course most of the time I just want to keep on driving.

There's not a thing I dislike about the car, it fits every need, plus it is a scream to drive. It fits my driving personality perfectly but provides enough nuances to help keep it exciting. The greatest feeling however is whenever I pass those other 'sport' cars whose owners are having to drive conservatively to keep their mpg at a reasonable level. Me...??? I'm having fun AND getting good mpg!!! What could be better !?!?!?!

scottjl: you must be the type who see the car as just a car, but there are others (like myself) who are car enthusiasts who feel the vehicle is an extension of themselves, so whenever they find that perfect fit it's very hard NOT to love it. My wife kids me that it's moved her down a notch in the household hierarchy, but truth be known that would never happen, she's still number one in my life.

I have had to stop telling people how much I love my Focus because I am such a bore on the subject. I've had it a little over a month, 2500 miles, no problems, so fun to drive, no problems with the DCT, a sharp looking car and fantastic mpg. I smile every time I see my little car and enjoy driving more when I am in it. Even trying to figure out if the Frosted Glass looks more blue or green to me at any given time is a pleasure.

I have been very happy with BOTH my SEL Hatch. The leather in the one is great w/ heated seats and the cloth in the other isn't bad either. Handling and ride is smooth and a blast in the twistys. I really like the auto/manual sport mode. What impresses me is you can drive it conservatively and it performs comfortably and predictably but when you let it out it changes into a sports car without any fuss. Most other cars I have owned either wanted to be driven hard or driven easy but not both. Kudos to Ford to build a car that does well with both styles of driving. And the looks sold me even before I tested them. The bells and whistles are not necessary but sure are nice!

Yes there is a lot of love for the focus here too. The thing I get a kick out of is the heated seats, sony stereo, overall handling of the car. At work when every one is taking their final smoke break outside the reactions never get old when I start the focus up remotely. Everyone that had a chance to ride in it was very impressed.

I dunno, my transmission won't shift, my mft is coming unhinged, the headliner is falling from the ceiling, it makes noises I've never heard before, it won't give me 40 mpg going over 80mph, sirius sounds tinny, the bumper is falling off, the doors aren't hinged right, the paint isn't sprayed right, I just don't know....











Kidding, I have none of those problems, my car is thus far perfect Bahahahaha! -
