Pos door switch fault?

Hi all. Im am posting this for a friend but its good to know for myself just incase i get the same fault on my Focus i seem to have had every other fault.
My friends 2003 Ford Focus wouldnt start the other day, everything completely flat apart from the central locking kept trying to lock itself over and over again. The battery has since been charged and the car is quite clearly getting power, yet it wont start and the central locking keeps trying to lock itself! Maybe the door switch that is faulty causing the immobilsor to kick in.
Any suggestions?

Thanks all.
