I had to figure this out myself as well... The salesman told me "the seats don't fold flat." I was happy to see that they do! Thanks for passing the info along. I felt like an idot when I figured it out but I wasn't going to be the marter, lol.

Awesome thanks for the info!

I have the 17" polished alloys and the cargo area is dead flat. Removing the headrests is a PITA, however. I found I had to tilt the seats forward to have clearance to remove the headrests. One needs to be pretty limber to get in the back seat and get everything folded and stowed, but it does work nicely.

Someone stated that the subwoofer prevents having a flat floor. My SEL has a flat floor, that is incorrect for my car with the 10 speaker Sony system.

I never have rear seat passengers except for my two Aussie shepards so the rear seats are always flat. I really disliked the seat bottoms folded against the front seats back. Loss of access and area behind the front seats. Couldn't even use the pockets on the back of the front seat.

So I have removed the rear seat bottoms, two bolts for either side of the 60/40. Lined the area with interlocking padded floor material. Results in a softer, warmer and protected area for the dogs or whatever.

Removing those folded bottoms also improved the muddied mid range from the rear door speakers sound.

It's actually the titanium handling package that comes with a full-size spare, not the SONY speaker system. They put in a 3-4" spacer (where the spare tire and amp both sit). With the spare removed, the spacer can also be taken out and it will be flat. But then you're spare tire-less...

Now ... THAT is customizing.

Hi, as I unsderstand it your cars have those larger rear headrests it makes it more complicated. Over here we have smaller ones thus making it more straight forward to fold the seats without having to remove them, and we can see out the rearview mirror better as well: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/front_w....php?id=440773

I took off my rear seat headrests as I never have rear seat passengers. I stuck them in a locker. So i can see out the back pretty well
