Airbagit.com has an introductory airbag system for $1000.
Air bags are also fully adjustable. Fully adjustable coils are more around $1300, right?
I would still go with coils though. All you need for adjustment is a couple wrenches.
With the airbags, I think you'd have to have a compressor and tank in the trunk, solenoids, and lines running to each bag. A lot more complicated, but it would be pretty nice to push a button and change damping/ride height.

Yeah you can find cheap airbags for around 1000. But to be able to adjust the bags on the fly you need good components as well.

High end coils 1000-12000

high end bags 2500-3000

I would rather run high end coils then low end bags.

I think my trunk and hood saved about 30-40 pounds. Mostly in the trunk.
