One interesting point i noticed on the rear fender bulge (while waxing car)
is the fender edge has an odd bump which seems out of place.
But if you add the rear splash guard, it sort of becomes more integrated.
In the pic posted earlier in this thread, you can see the bump above the top of the rubber strip up on the side of the wheel well.

I ordered the OEM Molded Splash Guards from partscheap.com a good quality product that fits and looks good. Very easy to install just need to take off the wheels.

Does anybody know if Ford has parts to make the rear wheel wells shielded with plastic like the front is already? I notice the rear wheel well shows exposed body and frame and only has a black fiberglass carpet material for blocking the dirt.
Other Ford models have front and rear wheel well shields.

Thanks!

Im still a little wary on pulling the trigger on the splash guards. No one with Candy Metallic Blue has them?

Got my MFs (sounds snarky don't it?) via the pick one: Winter Pkg, or Exterior Protection Pkg (can't remember which one came with the MFs). And you're right................they were expensive, either $245 or $570! Yikes!

BooBerry...........they're on my car, sorta visible in the pic I posted in the other thread.

It was the exterior protection package that added the splash guards ...

Question ... do the rear wheel wells have plastic shielding inside just like the front wheel wells?

I notice the rear wheel well on my focus (no exterior package) shows exposed body and frame and only has a black fiberglass carpet material for blocking the dirt.

I have not seen a focus yet with the manufacturer installed exterior protection package that you got. With the price you paid compared to the oem molded splash guards that anyone can install; it seems like they should of at least added these extra parts with your upgrade.

Thanks

I test drove a Focus with "exterior protection package" last weekend.

The Focus was a fresh Titanium. The mudguards and decal were just in the cargo compartment. They are a dealer installed option.

It doesn't make sense to me for Ford to charge $250 for some mudguards, a decal, and labor (?) to install those items... There's got to be something else.
