One more month til USAF BMT!

What should I be preparing for? I have been working out. I need to know if there is anything else I should cover. Like how to disassemble an M-16? Or USAF history? Can anyone give me pointers on what to do one month from basic? Kinda nervous..

Back when I was in all we did was run. Never took the M-16 apart.

Keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut, When marching do not bounce. Volunteer for KP (Easy times and you get to eat some good things your flight doesn't). When you pull dorm guard make sure you don't let the DI in the door with a fake ID (Ours used a pic of mickey mouse on his ID and one guy let him in). Have the dorm guard wake you up slighty before revelry and get your uniform on. Make sure you buy a brand new razor and never take it out and display it until inspection. Make your bunk as tight as you can but they will throw it out the window anyway.

That is about it for now, It was some of the best times of my life and I never had a regret about going in.

EDIT: There is still a lot of running. You alternate days of how much you run. You will disassemble the M-16 and fire it, but it's easy enough to do that practicing or studying isn't necessary, you'll have plenty else to worry about.

Leaving in 2 weeks! I did a physical evaluation of myself yesterday. Ran 1 mile in 9 minutes exactly..shit..and Did 35 pushups, and 30 situps. FUUuuuuuuu...Is that bad?

As far as your physical assessment, that's a good start. I can't remember the standards now, but if I recall it's 11:47 or less 1.5 mile run, ~50 situps, and ~50 pushups. Those are minimums.

You'll be fine though. The amount you'll push and the running you're going to do for PT will get you where you need to be.
