How to replace door weatherstripping?

I bought new weatherstripping for my driver side door and was curious as to the removal of the old stuff. Does the old weatherstrip just yank right out of there? Are there any plastic trim pieces that need to be removed? Figured I'd ask before trying to rip it out.
