Anyway,

Does the dealership get a kickback on financing with Ford? So for instance, if I were to finance a $22,999 Focus with Ford, does the dealer get an additional kickback because it was financed with Ford?(I'm thinking with the promotional 2.9,3.9,4.9, etc)

Also, do you guys get made aware of promotions before they go live? Or do you find out with the rest of us?
Usually the F & I guy gets a flat pay of $150 for financing through Ford. Most of finance money is made off of rate (buy rate of 3.9% and we sell to you at 5.9%). Any promotional cash is flat pay.

We find out with the rest of you.

Interesting, always wondered how that worked. Anyway, damn! I was hoping you guys found out early

Final question: can the brochure coupon combine with student discount? (I'm eligible for the student discount and I have brochure offer # 33646 which I am assuming is the $500 off one everyone gets)

Thanks for all the help :)

To be honest I'd offer invoice less half holdback plus incentives and TTL, D & H and see what they counter at. They have plenty of inventory so what's one Escape.

Ford should reimburse them on gas so it should have a full tank.

I have never bought a vehicle from a "real" dealership, used or new, and not had a full tank of gas when I left the lot.

I would bet that they forgot, or they are just cheap, lol.

Well that's the thing, if they are not filling up vehicles for customers they are going against policy set from Ford Motor Company.

Ford pays the dealership to fill the tank unless it's a fleet purchase.

From my Ford site:
FULL TANK OF FUEL PROGRAM

Background:
The Full Tank of Fuel Program was implemented in the 1987 model year as a customer satisfaction initiative. Over the past 22 years, this program has been operated as a cooperative effort between Ford Motor Company and its Dealers.

Retail:
The program consists of two steps to ensure that each retail customer received a full tank of fuel upon delivery of their new vehicle. These steps are:

1.Dealers are invoiced by vehicle for the quantity of fuel to fill the fuel tank, charged at the forecast fuel price for the quarter.
2.Ford Motor Company reimburses the Dealers for their fill by calculating the difference between the vehicle tank size and the number of gallons supplied by the plant. The Dealer fill amount is then credited to the Dealers at the forecast fuel price for the quarter and added to the Dealer Statement.
Fleet:

•Fleet orders will be automatically coded for Partial Gas Fill (option code 693). As such, the fuel charge reflected on the dealer invoice will be for actual plant fill levels and at the self-service price.
•Since Fleet orders will always be coded with Partial Gas Fill (option 693), the Full Tank of Fuel Program will not apply.
