It's not useless to me. I've already used it for real once and can easily see myself using it once or twice a month. And I've passed up spots on the left side of one-way streets before because it's a PITA. Not any more.

First time I tried it in mine was just a demo for a friend who wanted to see it. It picked a spot I would never have dared to try myself. It had to go back and forth twice more after the initial entry into the spot, but wound up dead center and nicely snugged to the curb. Impressed both of us.

I've never tried the auto-parking on the left side of a one-way street. Does the US version do this!?

yep! turn on your left turn signal...it then looks on the left!

The messed up part is that some of the Euro Focuses have a pull out change drawer under the headlamp knob.

actually when you turn on the left turn signal it looks on both sides of the street. at least that's what i read somewhere.

i tried it out a few times, was very impressed with it. it got me into a spot i would have never tried on my own. unfortunately getting out of that spot was a bit tricky, took a few back-and-forth maneuvers, so be careful where you let it park you! it will get you in, but it does not to work to get you out (it should, but i can see why this would be dangerous).

i will rarely use it as i rarely park in a city street environment, but it is kind of nice to have. i do like the rear camera though!

It displays "Call 911?" and "View Hospitals Locations?" on the MFT screen!

The room in the hatchback was very limited due to the full size spare. I removed the spare, and all the styrofoam inserts and put the amp in the spare tire well, and put the OEM cover back on. Gives you a lot more room for road trips/vacations. Better have the roadside assitance though LOL.
