Did you ever address this? My bushing/plastic eye thing was weak when I got the car (popped off when shifted hard), and after putting a news trans/clutch/flywheel in, the little bit of a bushing that was left finally gave up the ghost, leaving me with no "cup" to snap onto the ball on the trans.

I could just replace the cable, but there's gotta be a better way. Wish I would have thought about this before the trans went in...I would have drilled out that lever to thrown a bolt/washer setup on it like you had planned.

I have 10 Delrin bushings made up to fit inside the linkage (once you cut away the rubber 'guts')...having flanged aluminum sleeves machined this week to pivot inside the Delrin bushing...1/4" bolt, a nut and a washer and it's off to the races!

Who wants one?

Me! How much are you charging for these? My shifter play has gotten a lot worse in the past year. Let me know. Thanks, Jeremy

I may be up for a couple of these. Can you provide better pictures of where these go, and how it looks installed?

Just curious so that i can make sure it is what I am thinking it is.

Thanks.

P.S. Great write up!

Also, these are designed just for the spongy rubber tranny side bushing...
I'm still looking into a solution for the shifter side (so you only want one of these per SVT)

I'm interested in these, as well as the shifter side bushings. I'd like to not have to replace my shift cables again when that silly rubber/plastic thing breaks again.
