I love the overall fit, finish and quality of the product. FSwerks should have included a better fitting silicone coupler for the throttle body.

There are actually two main reasons we use the straight 3" silicone hose rather than a reducing silicone hose.

1. Many of our customers use an aftermarket throttle body which is always 3" in diameter. So our 3" silicone will fit perfectly with that setup as well as allow proper fitment with the OEM 2.75" throttle body. Silicone hose in general is designed to allow flexibility so it will seal properly when properly installed.

2. Reducing silicone hoses are much more expensive than straight silicone hose and to maintain our low selling price of $199.95 we chose to use a more affordable and multi purpose fitting hose.

Thanks,
Vik

I installed mine in about 40 mins. Only challenge was salvaging the parts I needed to reuse. The 2010 nonPzev was a lot easier than the directions.

This has been on my mind since I first saw this thread, is there a possibility that there has been a mid production change to the throttle bodies? I know it sounds crazy, but it is possible. I have an 08 and my intake fits like it was made by ford. Countless others have also had stress free successful installations. Just an idea.

I had the same issues when i installed mine, but nothing that was too extreme for air leaks or functionality. Over all its a quality product.

The coupler seemed a lil loose on the TB, but sealed nicely when strapped down.

As far as the MAF and its wires, i just undid the whole wire off (wires leading to that front sensor, which i believe is the air bag sensor) the Christmas tree white clamps and its fine now. I will post some pics later.

Drove it through some rain the other day as well, and i seemed to do fine.

Still getting used to the loud noise it makes under load...not sure if i like it yet or not as its pretty loud!

Yet to see the MPG improvements as im on my first tank. If i get 1 or 2mpgs, it did its job!!!

I just ordered my FSWERKS CAI for my 08 Focus SE Sedan, I'll definitely reply to this thread when it arrives (hopefully soon), and post pictures and comments with how mine installed, hopefully mine fits in perfectly with no issues too.

Quick update, my FSWERKS CAI was just delivered, so I should be getting to install it later this evening, I'll report back with my thoughts and how the install went.
