I'm guessing its like the Chevy engine covers with the small ball like grommets that slide into a certain point on the engine. But don't take my word for it.

It shows 6A949 for the cover and 6A957 for the bolts. Not sure what else you might need but check out the diagram in the link.

y'all just jealous of our tidy-looking engine bays :)

The cover is actually bolted on... somehow. I thought it would just pop off but it doesn't seem to. I haven't figured out how they put it on yet.

There is a video on YouTube. They guy removed the oil filler cap and popped it off..
I don't know how to copy the link from my iPad or I would have posted it. Just search for 2012 Focus engine cover.

It just concentrates heat over the engine, less obstructions = more airflow.
