If the car had the additional torque and average hp of the 2.3 in the 1500-4000 rpm range, it would be much quicker even if the peak hp was the near same as the 2.0. WHat are good settings to change on the ATX?
Tom tuned mine but he didnt do any changes to the tranny. I changed all 4 gears up 2mph on the RPM and then i went one click up on the shift PSI i was suprised. When you look at the settings on the tuner and it says 2mp i really didnt think i would tell any difference but i can. Just going 1 setting better on both the MPH and the shift points made it drive way better. I dont know whats good though i just changed em all.

The factory downshift schedule is pathetic at best, the line pressure is piss poor, and the shift rpm is best described as optimal for a push rod v8. There is also the ability to adjust the lock up torque schedule. I'm surprised he didn't do any of this.

I ran a 10.4@74MPH in the 1/8 with basic bolt on's and a tune. The car has been retuned yet again and I can expect to shave off some time from that. Bone stock transmission, long block, and bone stock IM & TB with full interior. Although if your riding a sedan all that weight can't be good for the 1/4 mile times. A D-Tec responds much better to mods then a Zetec, they have a superior head design.
