Were you running the defroster at all to defog the windshield? The defroster will turn on the A/C pump to help dry the air. You would definately notice the drag.



On another note, Does anyone have a flatscreen tv wall mount they dont need?
would that cause the the clutch/flywheel to overwork? cause it smells like the flywheel is overheating. left my stands at my parents ill get them monday

so today no burning smell from clutch area, but the e brake is all weird, like it works but i have to pull it a lot higher than i used to

Brake pads and clutches are made from a similar material, and smell very similar when burning, or heated.
