Do you think 'Car Modding' is worth it?

There are different grades of modding. You can go all out and pure thousands of dollars into a car with very little return other than pleasure or you can do fairly cheap mods that differentiate your car from the rest. The latter is the one I prefer because it differentiates all are cars without "wasting" large amount of money. Are cars can become a reflection of us and who we are.

I think it's worth it, it's more of a hobby. I never go into the big mods only small things here and there and when a part wears out I will generally try and find a replacement that will out perform the original.

And there it is. I can't speak for everyone but I can say that I want my car to show to others a little about who I am. If everyone bought their cars off the lot and never changed a single thing about them then cars wouldn't be as much fun.

Car modding is my anti-drug (not that I ever done drugs). But seriously, tinkering on my cars is what keeps me sane, it's my escape from reality.

I never go into the big ones either, so far the most ive spent on a mod is the SCT tuner. I do have 3 sets of wheels, 2 sets have new tires on em.

Some times small mods can make a big difference. Plus it's not always how much you spend. Some of my cheapest mods would get the most attention. Build your car for you not for others. That's my motto.

I have a $20k stereo. I can't tell someone their interest is not worth it. It is money you will never get back, but as long as you're not spending every spare cent on your hobby, it's fine.

I just ordered more part's= a tuner, header, flex pipe & a muffler. I paid cash for this car back in july '04, so I didn't have payment's like a lot of people.
