Tuxedo black is having the same pigment shortage issues as Kona Blue and Red Candy. It is being replaced with the regular black as used on the Mustang. You might want to talk to your dealer about changing the color choice if you want to avoid any additional delays.

Regular black would be fine but they can't even place my order at least that's what they told me last time I spoke with them.

They probably haven't updated the system to allow for orders for the color replacement yet. I seem to recall someone posting the same thing about the Sonic Blue replacement. I think Ira said something about it being late June before the alternate colors could be ordered. If you are in a hurry you might want to think about an alternate. That's how I ended up with Sterling Grey.

OK, so my situation is getting weird:
I'm still waiting on the vehicle to show up at the dealership we're trading with. Called Ford, they said the vehicle was supposed to be delivered by 5/23, and that the last update they have for it is 5/24, when it was on a train in California (despite being shipped from Michigan with a final destination of North Carolina). It seems like something strange is going on here. The dealership won't give any more specifics other than, "yeah it should have been here by now, no idea what's going on". Could something have happened in shipment? The people in Customer Relations agreed this is pretty unusual. |
