Can you open all doors with ONE PRESS on key fob on the 2012?

On the 2012 Focus: Can you configure the unlock on the car to OPEN ALL THE DOORS AT ONCE WITH ONE BUTTON PRESS ON THE KEY FOB?

Yes, you only have to press one button twice to unlock all the doors.

I would think it's just like my 05 500. One push unlocks the front and a second push unlocks the back.

The default setting is two-stage unlocking where the first button press unlocks the driver's door, and a second press unlocks the remaining doors (including the trunk/liftgate). According to the owner's manual, you can reprogram it where a single button press unlocks all doors. You hold down the lock and unlock buttons together, and then the hazard lights will flash to confirm the change. The same procedure also happens to work on TransitConnect vans, I found out.

I just switched mine so I can confirm that holding down both the lock and unlock button for 4 seconds toggles between 2 stage and 1 stage unlocking. At least it does on the intelligent access keys, I am sure it works the same on the integrated key fob remotes.

I hate 2 stage unlocking....actually my wife hates it because I was always forgeating to press the unlock button twice.

I always blame it on my wife for lifting the handle too soon. She doesn't really think it's funny anymore. :p

Posted via FF Mobile Was the same on the old key fobs also. Like others said you just hold down both buttons for a few seconds and the car lets you know when its done. Speaking of fobs and keyless entry, what distances are you guys experencing the fobs working from? Im sure anything is better then my car where you have to be like 10 feet sometimes 5 away.
