There is decal under the hood somewhere that tells you on ANY and EVERY motor vehicle. But 99.9% certain that you have a 2.0 Duratec, unless you have a Focus ST.

Thanks for the info. I searched high and low for a sticker on the engine info and couldnt find it anywhere.

It's usually buried in lots of fine print on a label about the emissions system and whatnot. It will say "2.0 liter" or something of the sort in there amongst all that.

And unless I'm mistaken, I believe that 2004 was the last model year for the 2.0 Zetec and 2.0 SPI, so everything since then has been equipped with the Duratec engine in either the 2.0 or 2.3L variety.

Hello!

Fellow gear head here! I just recently bought a 2008 black focus se. I'm so excited because I haven't had a new focus since 2004 when I got a brand new zx3 off the lot. Maybe one day I'll do some upgrades, (as I am financing and will be with the vehicle for at least 5 years) - but for now I'm enjoying the fact that I went from a reliable 2000 ford escort [with 234,000 miles] to this baby.

I have owned many cars in my day.... 1987 Pontiac Fiero, 2005 Chevy Blazer, 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2005 Lotus Elise (my favorite)... I clearly have an addiction. I think this site is great and I am looking forward to many delightful conversations with everyone.

BTW, girl power rules. I can change my own oil, flat tire, etc. It's just funnier to woe the boys at the service center.
