No, it is not your fault. The SPI engine is JUNK. Take a look on my photobucket at my near mint condition 02 Focus that dropped a valve seat. It was well cared for. It doesn't matter if you are an old grandma or grandpa that babies and pampers these motors, they are still going to drop a valve seat. Do NOT replace the SPI, do a Zetec swap. All you really need is the wiring harness, exhaust flex pipe, motor mounts, and upper radiator hoses to do the swap. Its all plug and play and it would be cheaper to do the swap than to replace the SPI with another SPI. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

trust me,i was engage to do that,im just pissed i dont have any mechanically inclined family and friends, i have tools, just dont have a crane or a hoist to pull an engine,i have hundred junkyards around me and its killing me inside i wasnt able to do this swap,

Nope not yet because my best friend has been working every day. I need him to be here to help me tear out a motor at Harrys You Pullit in Hazelton PA. Thats also a very long drive from my place you gotta go through the sticks to get there I don't feel safe going by myself.

But I am doing the swap. It should be underway in about 2 weeks. Sadly, I'm probably not going to make it to the Carlisle Ford Nationals this year, I only live an hour from there.

I'm not mechanically inclined either, but I have friends who are.
