Ok question for you ford sales guys, my sales rep said that GPS map updates would be free via syncmyride web site. Someone on another thread said that's not true you have to buy a new SD card.

Can someone verify this for me please?

My dealer today said tuxedo black is no longer available for ordering and they replaced it with a flat black l. Is this true for the Focus? I was really set on the metallic. Thanks.

As of today Ford stated no more tuxedo black on anything including pre-existing orders, ceasing production of any hybrid and Fusion Sport or AWD Fusion.

Wait, what do you mean they are ceasing production? you mean just the color or the actual car. and for what reason?

The metallic colors, most notably the Red Candy and Tuxedo Black get the sparkles from something called Xirallic, which is only produced in one factory in the world. That factory is located in Japan, fairly close to the nuclear reactors(25-30 miles away). Needless to say, there is a supply shortage of Xirallic that won't be solved any time soon. Most companies are replacing the affected colors to something similar, such as using mica in the paint(which would have to have a different name).

Just for the rest of 2011 to let parts replenish. The actual Fusion Sport will no longer be available so if there's one on a lot that you want better snag it up now! Good thing you did.

The black color available on the Mustang will replace all tuxedo black colors is what I'm told. Just a normal black, nothing metallic.
