I'm talking about the mast not the base. Thanks!

Haha. Sorry, I read it too quick. I'd say just get one from the junkyard as they shouldn't charge too much for an antenna. You can always cut it if you want a shorty type one.

CFM has the base for $14. Just ordered that and a new shorty antenna from them.

^ Damn. If I knew they had it I would have bought it there instead of eBay. Oh well, I need a shorty antenna so I'll purchase that from them.

Just got the new base and antenna, installed it. Took half an hour, tops (most of which was digging around for a torx screwdriver).

It looks like they're different colors, but it's mostly the texture. The antenna is smooth, and it reflects light better, making it look a lot darker. Really, they're close to being the same color.
I bought the antenna and base from CFM, and I highly recommend it. With the last shorty antenna I had, I got no reception in my garage. With this one, I got two stations in, very clear. Also, CFM got my order to me 3 days from placing my order, so they're fast too.

THanks for the picture. I've been deciding on getting that or another cheap ebay. one. That looks good so I think I'll be placing an order with CFM before long.

Still, after looking at it, I discovered that the bolt on the base is actually broken, and that I'm going to need a new base.
Thanks for this writeup.
LMAO. same exact thing happened to me... broke it brushing snow off... i thought it was just the screw but upon closer inspection discovered its a one piece unit...this was like 2 years ago... and i thought it looked better from far away, but kinda ghetto when u realize its broke! have been antennaless for years now.

are there any shark fin style antennas that fit? ive scoured the earth... only found "fake" antennas, as in they get no reception, just a plastic piece. im finalyy deciding to actually get a new base and fix it. its more of an eyesore now.

Yep, same thing happened with my shorty antenna. Snow and ice broke it.
