Kona would have been my first choice if I didn't already have a blue car.
Also, one thing I am noticing on the cars, the black grille gets lost on the Kona blue and black. I, personally, like the grille design on the Focus and think it should stand out more, which is also part of why I went with the white platinum tricoat. Just a thought for any n00bs considering colors. |

Got my VIN and window sticker today! Build date is Apr 27th. My dealer said it is normally 2 weeks to ship, but something about shipping delays right now. I hope it really is just 2 weeks.
I was able to go see a Kona Blue Mustang before my order. It is way better in the flesh than on the site. |

I have been lurking this site for a few months, figured I would finally sign up to throw in my information
Ordered a Titanium Hatch with MFT Tri-coat white, Feb 28 - Order Date: April 14th - Vin Received: April 21st - Window Sticker: April 28th - Build Date I live about 4 hours away from Michigan, but not sure on the delivery time or anything. I also have a quick question regarding the Canadian Focus. Can anyone verify that we get the Intelligent Key w/ push button start? I noticed that it was on *feature* page for ford.ca, however I cannot find it under the spec sheets (when comparing different models and options/standard equipment), and there is no mention of it on any Canadian Focus window stickers, but it is noted on any U.S bound Stickers (looking at this thread) When I ordered the car over the Golf TDI way back in Feb, the sales guy assured me it was included, however after bringing this to his attention, is not sure now. Nissan pulled this with me on the Sentra when I bought it (oddly enough, we sometimes get excluded features), and left a really sour taste in my mouth. If ford is pulling the same thing, I may cancel the order and go with the Golf again (prices here are about $5.40/gallon atm, and expected to hit $6.00 by June, so gas mileage is always on the back of my mind) Thanks! |

Welcome IceJava, Congratz on the new car! The Titanium model comes with the push button start, and no key.

By no key, I'm guessing you mean it does come with the Entry Perimeter Sensor? (EPS) Also, I actually ordered the Focus up in Ottawa, over on the east end at Jim Kaey Ford, so I have to travel up there to pick it up. |

Thanks! I actually found that thread earlier and tried to do the reset. I dont think the reset works that way on the 2012 Focus with MFT, or I was doing it wrong. I did find a Master Reset through the MFT menus, and pressed it. It had me confirm I wanted to reset back to factory defaults and then said restoring factory settings. After about 5 minutes or so, that went away and it returned to the menu, but nothing was reset. I'll probably give it another try and see if its just something I'm doing wrong.
Thanks again! Quote:

I was searching decoding ford window sticker and came across a bit of info. The 1 in the sequence of numbers indicating the build date stands for Job 1. I guess then, later in the year it will become a 2 when minor tweeks are made and Job 2 begins. I think it was here I read that prior to the build it's a 1 and after the car is built it becomes a 2. Job 1, 2, 3... makes more sense to me.
