Wideband AFR install question

Hey guys, so I have my gauge in and the wiring won't be too much trouble, but I'm trying to decide whether to DIY the drill/welding the sensor bung onto my exhaust manifold or just bring it into a muffler shop. Can anyone tell me how much of a PITA it would be to get the exhaust manifold off the engine to do it, or can I do it with the part on the car and just take out my battery/ecu so the welder doesn't fry them? (anyone who's done it already)

I know it's right there in the back of the engine bay and I need the sensor to be installed between the 10 and 2 o'clock position (assuming 12 is straight back towards the firewall) about 18" after the header, but before the cat- at least that's what the instructions say. I can probably get access to a welder, but even if I bring it into a Tuffy or something this might be important for the labor charge.

Any help appreciated!
