Extra HP out of the 2.0L 2012 Focus Ti-VCT?

It might be a little while for some things to come out for the 2012 Focus, especially things that the Ford techs will install for you. I'm not sure how much has come out for the fiesta yet, but that's probably a good estimator. It's been out for over a year now and they're really only starting to scratch the surface with it. I think Ford Racing only has a suspension kit out for it as of now, though Steeda has a few more bits, but that's not really the same.

It has 12:1 Compression using a higher octane fuel may help gain some extra ponies.

If I do anything after it's out of warranty, I may put a CAI and Borla catback on. Same as I did on my 02 Bird.

Agreed. With dual VVT you can work wonders. Uncork the intake & exhaust and get a good tune. But that's going to give you some warranty issues. :-(

The ecoboost engines are as follows: The 3.5L is a twin turbo, the 2.0L is a single turbo.

Nah, just flash it back to stock before you take it for warranty...

I'm hoping this new motor is as tunable as the 3.7 and 5.0 mustang motors are. Those engines with similar VVT have proven very tunable. I wonder if they can do a cammed tune on a 4 cylinder? haha.

You guys and your "cammed tunes" I have worked a good bit all ready with the Mazda engine which is what is now in the o12 Focus it will be interesting to see what SCT comes up for software for tuning the ECU

Calgary- How are you getting an SEL with a 5-spd.? It was my understanding that the 5-spd is only available in the S and SE, hence the Se Sport in my driveway. I know there's been discussion of making the tranny available to all models (I would have preferred a 5-spd, Ti, with handling pkg.), but that it hasn't been finalized.
