Changed mine at 64xxx, and again on a motor that only had 44xxx on it. Rather be safe than sorry!

Mine's currently being replaced at the dealership - 68k miles.
They are due to be changed based on the OEM Maintenance Schedule at 60k miles.

as previously mentioned, these are interference engines (meaning that if the timing belt breaks, so will your valves when the piston head hits them.
It is highly recommended that you change the timing belt on schedule unless you actually enjoy doing valve work (or paying to have it done for you). ^^

A few good indications that its ready to be replaced are sputtering, noticable loss of power across the full rpm range (a symptom that the belt may have jumped a cog) or possibly a loud clattering from under the hood followed very shortly by stalling and inability to restart the engine. =p

just got my SVT a fews ago with 102k and plan on changing it when it warms up and the water pump and serpentine belt to be safe dont know when it was all changed last

i did mine maybe 8 months ago and i did the same thing....all i had to do was re allign the cams for a second time....next time i do it im gonna allign the cams like 10 times just to make sure everything is perfect....cause the vct is a picky lil bitch

i am almost at 101,000 and plan on doing it VERY soon...i pulled the top cover back a little to see if there were any cracks in the belt and it looked good but i still want to get it done asap
