The Focus ST is exactly what they have been showing at the auto shows. The Geneva auto show begins this week and here is what Ford has on display.

True. Although Ford has disappointed before (no US RS), I doubt they'd spend all this time showing off the hatch in the US if they were just going to give us a sedan.

They never brought the RS here pre-production, MKI or MKII, so that's not even close to the same thing. They brought the MKII after it was done being produced, and not to mention that it isn't even the platform we have in the U.S. currently.

on wikipedia it also says RS will be sedan. I don't think thats true.
New Focus ST will be hatchback only - everywere in world.
And RS (if they make it) will be 3 door hatchback!

According to all the sources I've seen - the new ST will be a 4 door hatchback...

Now... I wouldn't mind a ST option accross the lines.... as long as all the goodies were across the line... than I could pick exactly how my ST would look like... and have it according to my needs - what a concept!!

IMO in style & stiffness a 2 door sedan should be better, followed by the 3 door hatch, 4 door sedan and 4 door hatch... I am just talking body styles... I know there's various ways of tighting up the chassis...

Wouldn' it be nice to have the option of what body style you could have?

Love the ST, like everone else does. Let's hope & pray we don't get a watered down or diluting the euro version over here, stateside. And one know or specilate the type of suspension, as far as is it similiar to the corant one or not? Can any one say "GLH"= Goes like Hell, for a latter day version of the Dodge Omni GLH, that came out in '83, does any one remember thou? Can any one say "Shelby Focus" for 2013? Thats on the table at Ford. Hopefully it gets to the front burner!!!!!!! Hell-yeah!!!!!!!

^I definitely remember the Omni GLH. It was almost my first car, but the huge crack in the butterscotch colored dash made me not want it.
