ketogenic diet question

as a child i faced a severe battle with epilepsy. now at 20 years old i have been seizure free for 11 years. now trying to get into shape for summer and was going to start an almost no fat high carb diet until i read an article about high fat and low carbs helping to control seizures. i dont want to start a diet until i know that the lack of fat and high carbs will not have any effect on my epilepsy. not knowing much about the scientific aspects of dieting its hard to reseach and answer this myself. so it would be great if anyone here could help me out.

a low fat high carb diet will make you unhealthier in general. However I know nothing about epilepsy so I will refrain from suggesting my normal paleolithic diet.

If you are looking for a ketogenic diet you seriously need to look into the Atkins diet.

The diet you described with high carbs is gonna just pack the weight on you.

When you first start the Atkins diet you cut out your carbs and about 65% of you caloric intake should be FROM fat.

EATING fat doesnt make you fat.

You definitly need to do some reading before you start any kind of diet.
