5 hour energy drink

I use it. I will drink one down real quick usually about an hour before my hockey games...though they dont last for 5 hours, I will notice a difference after about 30 minutes, but the burst lasts for a few hours i would say 3 at most for me, YMMV

99% of the Niacin on the market no longer gives you the flush or hightened blood pressure. Besides if they did use that kind of Niacin it would make them liable if someone with high blood pressure took it and had a heart attack or stroke.

If you have high blood pressure, you should never take any stimulant like 5 hour. However, niacin does not increase blood pressure. It dilates the capillaries and that is what causes the flushing. Slo-niacin or the prescription niacin, niastat, are slow acting and reduce the flushing.

I like them for long drives because of the caffeine minus all that sugar from drinking a soda or whatever... Though I usually drink this AND coffee if I'm doing a long ass trip so I can keep awake... Though if you want sick energy look into some 1,3 Dimethylamylamine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methylhexanamine).

5 hour energy is good for a hangover, pretty expensive stuff though. I typically have a green tea and a diet dr pepper every morning to wake me up.

i stay away from energy drinks. ill have a monster every 2 or 3 months, i just have a funny feeling that in 20 or 30 years were going to have a whole new set of elderly people with new common problems due to these things. if im tired i make due with it, if im wired i find a way to get rid of the energy.

Yeah... I don't drink soda (well... occasionally I'll have a diet coke) and a 5 hr energy drink only for LONG LONG drives (ie... 10+ hr ones)... Coffee is always good, and in moderation, actually good for you :D

I end up drinking so much caffeine in a day, I'll have to cut back before I try it again.

But all those B vitamins? That seems unnecessary, and potentially unsafe.

B vitamins are water soluble so anything the body can't handle is passed in your urine.

I use it after a late night study session to keep me going midway through the day. I like it cause I don't get that sudden crash, the effect just fades.
