Buy the 02 SVT I have been looking at tomorrow or later this week.

Order all my parts for H-Stock. Build the car up this winter.

Tear it up in the SouthEast all next year. CCR, HSCC, SCR, TSCC, NASA, etc . . .

Win Rookie of the year and take home a trophy in H-Stock at the 2011 SCCA Solo Nationals!!!

After buying next years r-comps, trying to convince the wife it will need shocks to pass inspection, then get Koni yellows.

keep em coming guys!

i should really look into getting a harness.. i slide around so much in the car.
i even have the seat up when in race mode.
do any of you guys have a harness? if so could you maybe post some pictures? maybe some of the mounting spots?
This:

I'm pretty sure you use the stock lap belt mounts and run it over the seat to the child seat anchors in the rear seat.

At least that's my plan.

No. Not yet. All indications are that it will have trophy potential; a newly built BG Protege trophied at Nationals...we have the same chassis and a bit more torque.

My codriver/owner drove a mild FSP neon at an event last year--he's clearly got the 'want' now to move up.

i put a harness in my car with stock seats... makes a world of difference!!!

it does the job for autox but is not safe for street use, but i still have the stock seatbelt...

ill have to take pics...

its just a $25 ebay 4 point harness, 3 point would have been better but i didnt want to sink the money into it... the lap belt has clip on attachments that i clipped to the stock belt mounting point on by the door and on the seat frame by the console... and then i found a nice little hole that fit the bolt perfectly under the rear seat and just bolted both straps into the same hole and tightened it down... and the shoulder straps just feed through the bar in my head rest... i leave it in and it doesnt bother me when i dd...

ill take pics..

Yeah, that protege is quite fast, I've seen it run at an two of our events down here. I have a huge benchmark advantage, as 3 of the cars that trophied at nations will run locally on occasion.

Jinx's Civic, Justin's Protege, and Geoff's Rabbit. That's one reason I really like FSP, the variety of cars that can compete. Of the three I mentioned, it can be any of of these three that has a chance to take FPD at a local event.

The surprising result was the Mazda 3 in the trophies, I was following his build thread, didn't seem too extreme... And to have the heavy hatch do that well, motivates me to work on getting my focus to that prep level.

Yeah our region is pretty sick across the board. Dont forget Hodges in the FSP Neon that was top 10 in Nationals 2 years ago. The thing all those cars have over the foci is the weight. Im just not sure we can compete.

Maybe STX is a better class to try in general? Im gonna try H-Stock and see how I can do Nationally next year.
