And gonefhsn, you do know the balance shaft has to be properly lined up with the crank right? Just like timing cams to the bottom of the motor, the balance shaft is the same way. There are directions somewhere but i forget where.
I got the instructions from Ford today and it is not all that hard to do. Put the engine and balance shafts at TDC and install.

Great write up. A little difference thou! great. I used a plug & a windage tray from PT performance. Just look up for speed 3. Even thou John mainly does SRT-4's.

quick question.I bought the balance shaft delete kit and i was wondering what you guys used to remove the oil pan to get to the balance shaft.

Okay....removed the Ballance Shaft and added the Poly mount to the lower motor mount and the car vibrates like hell! I know there is a break in period for the motor mount but is the BSD really loud after install?

I find there is some bevridge bottle vibration, at idle when the motor is warmed up, & w/ the eletric fans going. I also have the CFM under drive pulleys too. On the plus side is the motor now holds 6qts of oil!

Idle is fine but 3k rpm is brutal!

Update: broken motor mounts were the problem. Car runs nice and quiet with no vibrations. Very happy :)

With a 12-pt socket and an extension? I didn't know this was an issue. Never heard anyone having problems with this.
