i don't think too much structure damage.. but cosmetic would probably be nasty. paint chipping. hopefully that doesn't result in a fudged up race tire.
with the 40 series your *should* be fine. as long as your region doesn't have venues like mine! although the elevation changes are a blast, i lost my wheel liner because my tire was hungry..

There was a Street Tire SVT here that ran 225/45-17 Falkens I think--seemed OK, and those will be a fair bit taller.

Whatever happens as a result of running the tires is ok aka a rub in the liner, etc. But def no rolling of fenders.

Im still leaning towards the 225/45-17. Everything I have seen is the more rubber the better, especially in a 2800 lb car. I will need the extra grip to compensate for some lost camber! Thankfully I am use to driving a FWD and a mcstrut car, so Im looking to a quick learn.

Im still wondering about the 18mm front bar. How hard is it to oversteer a focus with the Stock SVT bars on?

Typically the higher performance model (SVT for example) slap on larger bars to compensate for the higher horsepower, better handling, etc so drivers dont kill themselves who dont know what they are doing. My old Saab was definitly an example of this . . . the Viggen aka SVT model had bigger ones to help the driver out. Im wondering if the 18mm front and 21mm rear might give me the rotation im looking for.

Well, there is a lot of thought in this idea.

Typically, as old racers will tell you: FWD cars must grip in the front and rotate in the rear. Since the front wheels have to do both turning and acceleraing/braking at the same time, the maximum grip will be necessary.

BUT, since its a mcstrut car, there may be a trade off point. Some people say no, others say yes. It will definitly be course dependent. The local series will be tighter with less speed and more sharp turns than the National Tour events, so there may need to be a change between the two.

I can have made a 3/4" 3-way. We've already done a 7/8"--was used on Lorin Muellers FSP car...and on Michael Hubbard's ST car. The 3/4 (19mm) would likely act like a 18/19/20.

I don't have pix of a FSB, but here is what a 15/16 (24mm) RSB looks like. Quite a few of these are around.

Yes. That sounds good. I would use Moog end links.

What is the price for something like this?
