Walk the course as many times as you can. Take the course slow till you figured it out. Keep air pressure in your tires around 40 lbs them adjust from there. If having trouble with the course, take a ride with someone.
I agree walk the course as many times as you can. Try to walk the course with someone that has done autoxing for a while and ask them for tips. If you find someone with the same car see if you can ride with them as well. Have fun and the only way you get better is by doing it and getting alot of seat time in.
