Ahh, good point, did the same Myself. Of course, it's easier to colormatch when the color You want is 3000K, lol. Yellow is a tough one not to match.

400hp to the fronts seems a little overwhelming...even with the fantastic lsd. any plans on going awd at some point?

going awd you would have to talk to msport and even then I don't know if it would be worth the money. The best way would be to find a mk1 rs thats already converted.......then you could have both generations
I'm still wondering when ford is going to give us the awd focus we have been asking for, you can't tell me they wouldn't pull some of Mitsubishi or Subaru's market share. Great car by the way, if you tune it at Massive and allow people to watch I will surely be there.

just unfortunate really. the rs is obviously a fantastic lookin car, but by the way ford sells it its making it out to be something along the lines of a more powerful gti hot hatch thing. idk there have been a lot of attempts into new markets with many diff companies (some fail others prosper) and it would be nice to see them at least try

From all reports, the mkII RS drives like an AWD vehicle. So what if it isn't, AWD isn't the end-all-be-all of road course dominance, and before You try, I cannot be convinced otherwise, lol. Just saying, that Revo Knuckle suspension is pretty remarkable tech that could really change the game, if given the attention it deserves.

I took the RS up to Fall-Line Motorsports today to get the baseline dyno run documented before we started the upgrades. Fall line is a very cool racing shop specializing in BMW SCCA and Pro race cars. One of my buddies is one of the owners and a good friend is the cousin of the founder. The RS pulled at almost exactly the factory spec's, so we are not starting in the hole! They had a really sweet all carbon fibre bodied BMW Z3 race car, and although I find that car singularly ugly normally it looked wicked in CF!

Wheel power on the dyno today

298 ft-lbs at 3400 rpm
260 hp at 6000 rpm

Add back the 14% loss through the Powertrain and you have

340 ft-lbs at 3400 rpm
296 hp at 6000 rpm

Which is pretty much right on the nose of the factory spec's for power at the crank

324.5 ft-lbs at 2250 rpm
300 hp at 6000 rpm

Now the work begins on the upgrades...!
