Roper dope it..
Here's a little trick to try when one needs to hold a engine for a no turn over. Pull any plug from the head and cram a piece of nylon rope down in the hole. Probably takes 6-10'' to lock the piston from rotating over! That will hold a thousand pounds of muscle. Good luck, pull the rope out when finished, reinstall the plug. Simple and no busted knuckles!!lol.

Bend a valve? I guess thats a possibility. But doing it for 37 yrs. without bending a valve must be pure luck on my part ? Nylon rope bending valves, I think not!

"...a thousand pounds of muscle" applied to an obstructed cylinder (I don't care if it's nylon, steel, aluminum, water, whatever) is a recipe for disaster.
You've apparently been very lucky. That's like saying you've been running out into the street without looking for 37 years, and haven't been hit by a car yet.

B3NN3TT....Do you even know how an engine works. Take cyllinder # one, bring it up on its compression is nearing TDC, BOTH VALVES ARE CLOSED! Emagine that. I think that allows the fuel to ignite along with some air to produce what they call a power stroke. All I said was it was the procedure that I have used for my snowmobiles, lawnmowers, aircraft engines, etc. If you feel that you are more comfortable with another system, feel free to use it. I have no problem with mine!

Do you guys think that a dude who did a Timing Belt for a regular ZETEC can do the job for the SVT ZETEC without a problem?
