I'm looking at car-part.com and I'm wondering would a 3 dr hatchback (ZX3) be considered a coupe or sedan style seat?

<ignore>Are car seats interchangeable? Where would I get the sliders? Do they come with the seat? I don't see anything that mentions what cars the seats are compatible with.</ignore>

Also, are there other dealers that sell car seats? If so, who might they be. The nearest Corbeau dealer is 2 hours away from me, so looking at other dealers/manufacturers would be a plus.

Also, where you able to get all the cables hooked up (I'm naive here). I guess there are cables that hook up to the seat for air bags and what not. Also did you get the regular seats or the wide seats?

Edit: Found this: http://www.corbeau.com/corbeau/seat_brackets/ so I answered my question about the seats being interchangeable and the sliders.

Yup, sliders are separate and seats are universal.

Performance shops around you might be distributors for seats like these. You might want to look into momo, sparco, recaro, etc. as long as it isnt a cheap brand found only on ebay (unless you want that, some people use those with no issues). Another option might be to find a set of 08+ seats or SVT seats which will give you the adjustment you need.

I had to tranfer over the seatbelts and that allowed me to plug in the seatbelt chime wiring but nothing plugged in for airbags or the gel pad on the passenger side. eventually will get some resistors or cheater plugs to plug in and get rid of the light on the dash.

i went with the standard width, i think its good for up to a 38" waist and the wide is 42"

and if youre looking for seats at a junkyard you want to select coupe vs sedan- the sedan seats dont have the level that lets them tilt forward to let passengers in back

Thanks for the info. I think junk yard seats might be better for my budget.
Do you know if 08+ seats will fit in an 07 or are you simply assuming they will?

Posted via FF Mobile Idk how much of a difference 08 seats will make. Is the pain really that bad, yor really getting lower back pain after 20 mins? Is there something jabbing into your back. Im pretty much the same height and weight as you and Im fine, can ride for hours with no lower back pain at all. Gotthe seat all the way down and the back rest is in a slight upright position, probably like a 30 degree angle, maybe 20. Idk dude, never sat in a cavalier, but what are the differences exactly? Were they softer or something? Maybe your better off just doing some lower back exercises, might not be the car.

I have to be careful in this department; it's one reason I picked a Focus; because the seats are relatively high off the floor... in a more chairlike position.

That said, I'm also ready to buy a Marquis de Sade emblem for my 07 Wagon... the seats are rubbish.

I'd love to know the answer to this... especially with the rear seats, that appear to have a side bolster set that the pre-2008's don't have.

I have the same comfort issues with my '09, seats like flat rocks, aka "Flintstones car". No lumbar support. My 2002 ZX5 was similar and got it customized with extra padding/bolstering.

I am getting seats customized at same car interior shop for the '09, and also adding a 'pump' type lumber support device.

All 2000-11 Focus have same front seat rails, just drop in another style. Since I have side airbags in my seats, I'm not going this route, however.

If original poster could find SVT or ST seats, they would work.

Posted via FF Mobile If same rails then thats good. But also make sure to find out if the electrical wiring plugs are the same, to see whether they just plug right up or require modification.

The bad part is this model seems to be the first to get stripped. They never seem to have anything left for SVTs
