does it have bucket seats in the back? i think i read that somewhere.
If it does the center seat is going to be a very uncomfortable hump |

They could do something with the tuning to make powershift possible on this model. That's how PowerWorks was able to get their SC to work with the 4F27E.

I know it's definitely possible. If other manufacturers can get faster cars produced with a dual clutch... it's definitely possible. But I guess Ford is new to the dual clutch game. Okay so I should just be patient. But I don't like the way that guy was quoted. There are some of us who prefer a dual clutch and are willing to pay extra for it. It should be an option at least.

Posted via FF Mobile Correct, powershift is still fairly new and as far as I know they dont have any paddles hooked up to it yet. The focus will have a button on the shift knob that lets you up or down shift. Tbones, true, but in this case its handling a good amount more tq then the powerworks equipped engines were churning out. Im sure One day well see it once they develope the thing more. Also remeber this is for Fords, not ferraris, they are also limited by costs.

It would be interesting to see the result of what happens if you near the limitation of the PowerShift transmission, as people mod their Fiestas in the future. Install a nice cold air intake, exhaust, get chipped, and slap a turbocharger in there... and watch the transmission go bye bye, lol. Honestly I'd still rather have a dry dual clutch tranny over a CVT. CVTs still seems way more fragile in comparison, since you're dealing with a belt sliding around. And theoretically Ford's PowerShift transmission is a zero maintenance system... or so they say.

Yes Jost has it right, "manual shifting is part of the excitement of driving performance vehicles"
If you want tiptronic/auto/paddle shifting you should buy the performance Fusion. Heck, you can even have all wheel drive in a Fusion but you have to have the auto transmission with it. Even the VW R32 has auto transmission. Just saying manual transmission is a positive thing in my humble opinion. |

I just want to see regular autos out the door all together and all they have are manuals and duel clutchs. Thatll probably be what happens since just about every auto has a manual shift option now. Im not a fan of cvt either...get rid of that too. You know how much fun subbies would be if they had duel clutch autos i stead of cvts. Same with nissans, even though their cvts arent that bad and probably the best in the buisness. So glad Ford didnt decide to stick with cvts and ditched them after the freestyle died.
