My opinion: I think many of us are forgetting about when the focus was introduced... and what's going on at Ford now. The fiesta IS taking over the focus. The focus is then being pushed up a notch in PRICE AND QUALITY. If you want to have the smaller less comfy, less outfitted car, go with the fiesta. The focus isn't going to be what it was. Anyone ever tell you "your car is too small" (back in the day when the focus was new)?

I think it will be close to 30K and you WILL get what you pay for.

Thank You, someone else sees what I see. To those that disagree look at Europe's current pricing on the Focus and do the conversion, that is what you should be expecting.

ST is competitor to Mazdaspeed3, VW Golf GTI and others in that class BUT KEEP IN MIND:
Mazda comes with old C1 platform and old 2.3 engine
Golf VI GTI is same as Golf V GTI with only 10 hp more!
Focus ST has NEW platform and NEW 2.0 EB engine!

So I think focus will be the best and will cost little more than these two.

I think around 26-27k.

And the RS, I think ford could upgrade the new platform for 4WD and tune 2.0EB on 300 hp.

European conversion isn't an exact science, as their tax structure is completely different.

Best looking Focus to date.....but its going to be crazy expensive....until a couple yrs later, let them work the kinks out first...remember what happened to the first Focus too, hahahahaa Bad times.

This is the new Ford Motor Company. There won't be the issues with this all new Focus like there were when the 2000 Focus went on sale here in the U.S. Things have changed dramatically in the automotive landscape in the past decade, especially for Ford. New and vastly better leadership, vastly improved quality and quality control, solid research and development, and lots and lots of testing. Supplier expectations and quality have also risen dramatically and Ford has whittled down their list of suppliers to a preferred listing. I am very, very confident the new Focus will be excellent right out of the gate!
