For those complaining about too many doors:

For the first time, the complete global Ford Focus line-up of three production-ready dynamic bodystyles will be displayed together, providing customers with a full insight into this significant new model before it goes on sale in Europe and North America early in 2011.

That said, I'll be keeping an eye out for a used one in 2013-14, as I don't buy new cars.

what are you hinting towards? the "3 dynamic bodystyles" are the 5 door hatch, the 4 door sedan, and the 5 door wagon.

they need to keep it under 25k to make it competitive (ie: MS3 territory) they creep up on 30k with the price, and that is entry level BMW territory, not to mention WRX and EVO

It's a PERFORMANCE model, EXPECT it to be around 30K MSRP wise to compete with the Evo and WRX, the Focus is now in that territory.

If you want a cheap Sport Compact there is the Fiesta.

People will buy these, yes the tide of owners may turn from College Level kids to Late 20's to Early 30's but that is because the car will cost more. If you want everything this has to offer well then you gotta pay for it, plain and simple.

Kudos to Ford on making a world class car. I will be buying one.

^^ Unfortunately, if they want to compete with the EVO/STIs they are going to have to do a lot better then 240 HP

True but I'm sure with a tune and a little bit of under the hood work it could be badass. Oh well a few of us will know soon

^^Keep in mind the evo and STI both have the ability to change there ALL WHEEL DRIVE systems to make the best for handling. I dont see teh ST Focus being anywhere near the STI or EVO classes. The RS can complete well with its front diff but I dont see if from this one. Actually if its close to EVO STI price I will have to betray the Focus and get an STI..

this car is going to be sweet, but i dont think it will copmpete with a STi or a evo, if they gave it anouther 50 hp, and made the back wheels work to then we could talk. i think it should fall right around the 27-30k range, it will be nicer than any focus has ever been. and i think its good thats its bigger because honestly the fiesta is the new focus and the focus is slotting in just under the fusion. which i bet will grow next body change. everything gets bigger. look at the explorer
