HOW TO: IMRC Removal and Repair

Update on the IMRC from another vehicle...

IT WORKS!!
my previous post about a different one throwing codes is due to me simply not plugging the control box in. I felt really dumb when I realized my mistake.

Again to summarize;
An IMRC from another Ford vehicle with dual stage intake WORKS on our SVT's.

Do you have an SVT model?
If not...you need not worry about the DSI in that case.

I'm horrible with google and can't find a price idea for that. Would it be cheaper to buy for another car perhaps? I just tried this and it didn't work so I have to replace the part.

the prices are the same from the stealerships. but the part numbers are different only cause of the cable length.

just get one from the junkyard

I have an old one that the board in side is bad, everything else is fine including the cable assembly. If someone needs one and wants to possible make a good one from the one they have along with mine I'll sell it cheap

im supercharged...and my light is always on because of this little mechanism. Is there a way to fake it or disable?.

So is what your saying you obviously don't need this with a Supercharger ( u lucky dog ) buy really I'm not sure how to fake the ECU into thinking it's preset and working properly. Maybe someone else can chime in...sry m8.

i just got thru fixin an IMRV that was stuck open,turned out to be a small vaccum line going from front of intake to a lil actuator bolted low on intake to the right,jus letting you know for future reference in case you ever have DTC2004 come up(imrv stuck open).
