Kinda lame thread but I'm excited to run my first autox on Sunday. Anyways, I cut a "No Trespassing" sign in half and x-acto'd some self-adhesive vinyl to make my own. Of course, I have to tape them on every time. The class letter is a smaller "Beware of Dog" sign

are these sheet metal? those kinda signs around here are.
i would think that would be too heavy for the tape?? i've seen peoples PAPER number fly off all the time.

you should hit up zx360 he will make you some killer magnets. he made mine and they are outstanding. i'll get a pic up in a bit.

another simple option, since you are good with a knife is to get from a dollar store some sheet (like 4x6") of magnet. cut out your # and they are easily reusable.

No these are plastic signs. I used to have magnetic signs on my van for work and one fell off-never found it

zx360s magnets falling off will NEVER be a problem for you. IIRC he uses 100lb magnet now and they don't budge. i've tested them at hwy speeds for a 30 minute drive and they were still on the car.
