XCAL3 Question

I know XCAL3 is locked to an ECU code for tuning and datalogging purposes, but is it possible to use it as a scan tool for another Focus? I have an XCAL3 programmed to my '03 ZX5 and am wondering if I can use it to read DTCs on the '03 SVT I just bought.

The device is only locked for tuning. If it is locked to one vehicle you can use it on any other ford for datalogging or dtc reading/clearing.
