just got my xcal 2 set up for logging what are the most important things to log and what are some others that are useful aswell.

It will vary depending upon your goals and your tuner’s needs. Having said that, some of the more common parameters include A/F, coolant temperature, injector pressure, intake air temperature, knock sensor retard, load, MAF counts, rpm, spark source, and throttle position sensor. I’m sure I missed a couple but that would be decent starting place.
BTW, are you planning to log on the XCal or with LiveLink?

I could be wrong about this, but I think most of the tuners now recommend logging directly to LiveLink. Once I began logging directly to my laptop I found it to be much easier and useful.
BTW, I would add "sftf1" to the list of parameters that I identified above.

i dont have a laptop (used pc to set everything up) and dont have money for 1 right now so this is the best i can do and i also cant find the knock retard and injector pressure on my pids list

i need to know what the exact names or close to what it says on the DMR/PIDS list for strategy UJAHA so i know that im getting the right items to log.

If you are logging just to log or see if it works, you can pick whatever you want.
If you are logging to solve a problem or correct a tune then what you log depends on what you are trying to solve or what your tuner wants to see. |
